Growing flowers and sharing them with others has always been second nature to me. Tending the cutting gardens alongside my family is truly a labor of love. There's nothing more fulfilling than offering beauty to my community through blooms I've nurtured and arranged by hand.
Meet Alicia, farmer florist.
Organic Flowers. Locally Grown.
Our flowers are sustainably grown in seaside gardens nestled on granite ledges above the Stonington fishing harbor. Each season begins with a soil test, followed by the addition of goat manure, compost, and other nutrients as needed. Starting in April, we raise annuals from seed under grow lights in the cellar, then transplant them outdoors after the final frost. Perennials—like roses and delphinium—bloom with the arrival of summer, then are tucked in beneath seaweed mulch to weather the coastal winters.
Freshly cut…everyday.
On market mornings, we’re out in the fields early, gathering the best blooms and conditioning them for lasting vase life. There’s something special about a bouquet picked with purpose—whether it’s to celebrate a birthday, brighten a dinner table, or add the perfect touch to a wedding day.
Take home a little piece of the garden.
